Hello! welcome to the wheatless whisk. My name is Kim, I am a mother of two and I was diagnosed with coeliac disease in 2021 shortly after my son was born. I have always worked around food, from waitressing in pubs to working in a convenience store cooking the "food to go" items and then working for the NHS in the kitchen at a hospital so I had some idea of what a gluten free diet entailed - or so I thought! 

What I wasn't prepared for was just how dry, dull and mediocre supermarket offerings could be and so I began to bake my own gluten free goodies from home. I made gluten free celebration cakes for my whole family, none of whom require a gluten free diet, and everybody couldn't believe that the bakes were free from anything! So my journey as a gluten free baker began. 


My children are very little - one is three years old, the other is one year old -so setting up my "bake from home" business seemed like the right step to take, combining my passion for baking with being a full time mum too. Hard, but so rewarding! 

So, here I am, baking my gluten free goodies from my little kitchen in Ludlow so that people like me can eat enjoyable foods again!
